I need to learn Japanese

I keep finding all these cool bands. Hard part is that they're singing in Japanese and I can't understand a word of it, but the music is so good. I wonder if it's a hard language to learn. Well anyway. Here's a guy I found, Joe Inoue. He's American, but it seemes like most of his stuff is in Japanese. He plays all the instruments and does all the mixing too. I just really like the song, don't have a clue what he's saying. I know it has something to do with bonding with friends of something...
