Things that make sense to me (and at least 2 other people I know)

I heard the comedian Lewis Black once say that if it is 20 degrees(he might've used different numbers) outside, but with the windchill feels like 4 degrees, wouldn't the temperature just be 4 degrees??? If it FEELS like it's 4, then isn't it just 4?? Then when the wind dies down, it's just 20 if it feels like 20??

Or how Kathleen Maddigan said that 50% off of 50¢ is free. That also made total sense to me, even though I know it doesn't really.
